summer post

             I am bored out of my mind. I am kind of sad at the same time. As the school year ends there is nothing to do but stay at home and play video games. people can't wait for school to end while me on the other hand hate summer as much as anything in the world. summer always means hot days and kids are out of school so that means more crap to put up with. so this is my favorite thing to do when times get hard or when i don't have a care in the world. In this case i don't have a care in the world, at this point in my life i am no longer a kid a teenager an adult or anything related to human. i feel like i can rule the world if bothered to. i don't always feel like this, this is a rare side of me that comes out when i am truly at peace. all i can say for now is that the best teacher that ever lived the best teacher at asti the best teacher period is leaving us. Mr. Charlie Sutherland you will be missed dearly. sorry for not listening to you.....i truly am.  

Reflective Essay

This first year at Asti was a total failure for me. I expected this year to be very good because I was dedicated to getting good grades and starting fresh. Well, in the end nothing changed except I think my writing got worse. I say this because I try to do my homework as fast as possible. If you look under this post you can see that over time my blog post would get weaker and weaker over time. For example I posted this in one of my blogs:

Today is the fourteenth of January and I coming home from a perfect day of school at a great high school. After have setting my day expectations so high I have to go to work with my dad and working at a store can really mess up your day. I go to the store and the first costumer I see I greet them and they look at me and don't say anything.

The way I wrote this made me sound like I was still in elementary school because my grammar was way off and I rushed to do it.

When I do take my time to do my work it comes out to be pretty good because I get deep into my writing. For example, read this post that I took my time on mid life crisis last chapter. I think of this post as one of the best ones that I have done so far because I took my time doing it and I had fun doing it.This is what i said “So i grab my laptop and punch a whole straight through the laptop screen and tour off the screen from the keyboard. I wen't insane, I beat the thing until you couldn't tell it was a laptop. When I am done I notice that Karen is outside waiting for me and I rushed outside, not having enough time to clean the mess that I made so I just locked my room and took the key.”  The way that I expressed my feelings in this one made me want to read it over and over again because i was proud that I wrote about one of my hard times. Every time I read that post I am surprised  about how deep I got into it. this was one of my best post of all time. Starting from next year I am going to try to make all of my blog posts the same as the one I was talking about before. I learned that if I was emotional at a point in my life I should post as blog to express my feelings. The background of that post was an insane person which was me when nothing went my way. It was also a dark mood that made me want to brake things until the point that there was nothing to brake.

Having a blog really changed my life because it can let people from around the world see my work and and it is a place for me to express what I am feeling. Blogging has really impacted the way I write because now I am a faster typer and I get a lot of comments on my blog post that tell me how I can improve and what I should do to make my post more interesting. This helps a lot because when I have a paper I post it on blogger and see what people think of it and they tell me what I need to do in order to make my post better or what to change to make it sound more interesting. For example I wanted to improve on my work for Ms.Corbally’s class and I posted a blog that was related to what I was trying to turn in to her. A lot of people gave me feedback on what I should do to make it a better piece. I revised the paper and it sounded like a paper that took me a month to do. Blogging helps a lot, whether it’s to clear the air of your emotion or to blow steam or even help you advance as a writer, blogging is very helpful and can be used when ever you want and people form all around the world can look at your work and help you with it.

Even though I said that my writing got worse, in some ways it did improve. Like now some of my blog post, drag the reader into the story and want to make them finish and see what happens in the end. I also tried writing about topics that I had no idea about. for example, my favorite thing to do is watch or read books about the gods and I never thought to write about it. So when I did I had a lot of fun talking about it and I loved the descriptions I put into it because it made the story seem like it was real life. When ever I have to post a blog I will think of the things that I like to do and the things that amuse me. Another topic that liked to write about was electricity. I did not know that I liked it some much until I did some research and when I knew what I was talking about. My new way of blogging is to research the topic that I am supposed to write about until I understand the topic.

I didn’t know that it was possible to write about anything that happened in your day even if it was simple thing like say you feel to the grown and you wont to write about it. I can say I seen my eyes flash before my eye and the wind push against my face as a fell with my dignity and pride. There are a lot of ways people do this like a short story turns into a very descriptive story that drags the reader into the piece. I didn’t really do that at all this year because doing that kind of work will take a lot of time but next year I am only going to do that type of work because it really does make your writing much better. this takes your writing to a whole diffident level and it improves you as a person and your writing or what ever you might be aiming for.

What was the author's purpose(s) in writing this book, and how can you tell? How well was this purpose achieved?




                                              
          I think that the author's purpose in writing this book is to amuse the reader. I think this because every scene in the book is breath tacking and it's written in a way that makes the reader feel powerful. Like when Jason the main character in the book was falling for one of the maidens in the book and next thing you know the maiden's mother's child gets snatched by the god Zeus. Zeus was the god of the sky and he was the ruler of the rest of the gods. The more that you keep reading the more exciting things get. This book is a fiction book and thats how you know that things can get really dramatic and anything can happen. After this book all i think about is what would I be like if i was a god. And this book is very interesting and it was a last minute book to bring to class. I am happy that I could read this book and after I am done with it I will read it again and again. 
         I say that the author succeeded in writing this book because the language of it is very old like how the roman gods used to talk and that really brings out some ones imagination. The purpose of this book was accomplished because I searched up the name of this book  and all i found were good reviews of it and a lot of people talking about there favorite part in the book. Oh, and by the way my favorite part was in the beginning when all the worriers came together and every worrier watched as the great and might Hercules joined them in there quest to get the Golden Fleece. This was the best part for me because I love Hercules for being super strong and for opening all the other worriers eyes and astonishing every single person there. When I read his name in the book I knew that things were going to get ugly so I had to read on.

what would Cisneros say.

Should parents/guardians raise their teenage girls in the same way that they raise their teenage boys? Why or why not? What rules should be the same for girls and boys? What should be different? Explain




                    I think that Cisneros would say that girls and boys should be raised the same because a human is a human and you can't change that. In the book the house on mango street a lot of things happen to the girls that are not okay because it makes the boys look like huge jerks which they are. In some ways this also seems like Cisnero is kind of not as loving to boys as she is to girls. I say this because it states in the book that in every situation there is a boy involved in it and they at are either mean to the girls or something else related to them that makes them look bad.
                      In some ways i think that the author would say that boys should be treated worse then girls or they will grow up to be real jerks. This makes sense because of the figure boys are looked at in this book. If i was going threw the same thing that the main character was going threw then i would grow up to hate boys because its sad that a girl is scared to be in a boys presents. The rules that should stay the same for boys and girls are that they can't hurt each other and they can't molest each other. the reason that i say that is that Esperanza was raped by her fellow coworker. The only thing that really has to change is that there can not be any drama because the main answer to every thing is that there can not be any drama and it would help a lot. There are a lot of things in this book that it very exciting and the reason that the author wrote this is because she probably had the dame thing going on in her life. sense i have nothing else to say I'm going to end it off with this i am only one minute away from the due date lol>

The Color Red

            The color red seems to show up a lot in the book The house on mango street. It probably stands for  mad things or something that was not supposed to happen because it mentions that in every bad thing that Esperanza goes threw it sates the color red. For example Esperanza's house is red and it says in the book that she really hates it because it's not conformable and it always makes her look bad. It does not have any of the things that she wants in house thats why she hates the color red. Another example of this is the high heels that Esperanza was wearing and the guy said that if she kissed him he would give her a dollar and she was thinking about it and then they had to leave.
            The color red shows up were ever there is a problem in the book. This starts to be noticeable when the guy rapes her and keeps telling her "i love you Spanish girl" she calls them red clowns and you can tell from there on that she does not like the color red. It also says that when she was with her friend in the monkey park the boys were trying to get a kiss from her friend and she thought that her friend was in trouble but it was a prank that the boys were playing on her. she said that she felt stupid with her brick that she was going to hit the boys with. and when you think about it bricks are red and when she was i trouble mentions it and the color red seems to be the way she describes the things that she going threw sense everything bad happens to her. This book is describing other objects as bad things like a bike or something it uses objects and descriptions as a away of telling you that something is bad or good but the majority of the ideas are bad because Esperanza doesn't really have anything good happening in her life because her family is poor and she doesn't know a lot of things about how kids behave and what people do.

                                        The Color Purple

                In the book The Color Purple by Alice Walker the two main characters Celie and Nettie are very much alike in some ways and very much different in other ways. Although the two sisters love each other they are almost opposites. Celie the kind of person that is very shy to talk and smile while Nettie is not scared at all and won't let any one boss her around and she will always put up a fight. The book is written in a very unique way because it shows Celie as the most weakest person in the book and it shows Nettie as the strong, funny one but the more that the book progresses the more that things will change. The scary thing is that in the end of the book things take a huge shift for Celie because she finally had the courage to face Albert and almost killed him. The two girls are alike in many ways and different in other ways.

              Celie in the beginning of the book was a very religious person and always wrote letters to God. Later on in the book she begins to question God's decisions because her life was a living hell. This was said by Celie “She say, Wait a minute. Hold on just a minute here. Just because I don’t harass it like some peoples us know don’t mean I ain't got religion. What god do for me I ast. She say Celie! Like she shock.”[200] As things begin to go her way, she starts to love God again and is grateful for her life. In my perspective I think that in one point in her life her dad loved her but when she was starting to develop I think that her dad had needs and was a sick man and did what no parent should ever do, rape his daughter. . Another thing that is kind of weird about Celie is that every one is the boss of her and she doesn’t even bother to say anything to the little kids which she has authority over.

           The difference between Nettie and Celie are enormous. Celie and Nettie are both very religious people but Celie does things at the church because it is the only place she feels safe, Nettie does it out the goodness of her heart. Nettie seems like she is not religious because she never says anything about god and how she is grateful for her life or anything. Another thing that is kind of shocking is that Nettie's father likes her and he hates his other daughter Celie. Nettie is also pretty smart and it mentions in the book that she is beautiful because Mr________ wants to merry her and not Celie but he had to merry Celie. The main difference between the two girls is that one is smart “Nettie” and the other is not to bright “Celie”. A huge difference between this two girls is that one of them got pregnant and the other one is still “fresh”. Celie's dad rapped her all the time and Celie had kids twice but her dad gave them away.

           These two girls also have many things in common. They both love to learn because in the book it states that Nettie was trying to teach Celie how to read and how to know what she was reading. They both say that they love to read and learn but it all goes to shreds when Mr._______ separates them from each other. Other people think that education is not necessary “The Olinka do not believe girls should be educated. When I asked a mother why she thought this, she said: A girl is nothing to herself; only to her husband can she become something.”[155]Another thing that they both share is that they are always doing good things for other people like when Nettie was in Africa and she was teaching the kids how to read and write. Celie is always helping the church with things and always helps Mr______ because he can't take care of all the kids all by himself. The main thing that the two girls have in common is the amazing love that they have for each other. The first time that they seen each other in a long time they did not know how to react. Both of the girls are also very religious because Celie proves it by always volunteering at the church and Nettie proves her self because she is a missionary in Africa.

           These are all the things that the two sisters have in common and all the things that make them special. The way the story is organized is to tell you how the two girls get along and what are the differences between the two. The book is very interesting and it is the kind of book that if you read the first chapter it will make you want to read the rest of the book to find out what is going to happen next. The book The Color Purple is the best book I have ever read because of the ways that it drags the reader into the story and how exciting it is. Alice walkers point between Celie and Nettie is that love can never stop and things will always change.

Letters To God

To the letter to god, you can tell that some were in the book Celie is going to be a very religious person. And I think that it isn't a bad idea for her to share her feelings with some one because the more you keep your feelings bottled up the more problems that you have. She also seems like the kind of person that would like to be married but not to an aggressive person. This book really gets into all the details and i really regret reading it because it gets way to creepy in the beginning and makes it sound like a horror story. I think that the letters to god are the only things that keep her alive because if you don't tell people what is going on with you say like when you are under pressure to do something but if you tell your parents they would get mad at you so you hold it to your self. The same thing is happening to Celie because her mom is dead and her dad keeps on raping her. That meant that she doesn't have any one to turn to but her little sister and she can't do anything about it. The letters to god are her way of talking to people and God is the only person that she could talk to because no one else is going to keep her secrets besides a figment of her imagination.

The Color Purple

There are many fascinating things going on in the book The Color Purple, but there are the main things that happen to the main character Celie. One thing that she keeps doing that is still very mysterious is writing letters to god. This is mysterious because she doesn't seem like the kind of person who would be religious and believe in god but who would of thought that a light headed person would believe in god. when she is talking about god it seems like she thinks of him as a guy and not as a god. The way that Celie is as a person is kind of scary because she lets people tell her what to do and that goes for little kids as well.
    
         Don't let them run you over, Nettie say. You got to let them know who got the upper hand.
         They got it, i say.
         But she keep on, You got to fight. You got to fight. 
         But I don't know how to fight. All i know how to do is stay alive.

This was said by Nettie and she made a really good point on how Celie is letting people do what ever they want to her. This really gets bad halfway threw to the end of the first paper clip because thats when all the bad things happen. She starts to write a lot of letters to god and more then what she started to in the beginning. Celie has a lot of things that make her unique but some things that make her stand out of the crowd are not good traits. Like when she goes to the market with her "Sisters" and she sees a little girl she thinks that it is heres because her dad used to rape her and through the kids that she had away.This girl really gets taken advantage of. When she looks at the baby girl she keeps asking the old lady whats the girls name who her father is and all these other questions. Overall Celie is a damaged  girl but will have her life back some day.

Another day another story

        Today is the fourteenth of January and i coming home from a perfect day of school at a great high school. After have setting my day expectations so high i have to go to work with my dad and working at a store can really mess up your day. I go to the store and the first costumer i see i greet them and they look at me and don't say anything. So i think that they didn't hear me so i said "hi how are you"and the women looks again and doesn't say anything. So i tell her "you know your an ass right." the only reason i would ever say that to a person is that for starters she is a dophine and always steals. So after i say that she stays in the store for like twenty minutes and starts laughing and says "motherfu****"and my dad sees the old hag and hears her a asks her to leave and she refuses. my dad threatens to call the cops and then she leaves.
       She isn't the main person in this blog it gets better. The employee comes from his house on time and let me mention that he is the coolest guy and the most funniest person that i met. later on in the day some punks come in to the store only about 17 years old and try to buy beer. Since I am not stupid i didn't sell it to them.
They threaten to beat me up but and i dared them to. Which kind of made me very stupid to say. They were all being raciest and my dad was inside not able to do anything. I have my dad on speed dial and he answers the phone and only hears commotion. He comes out of the storage room and sees whats happening and i was relived. Knowing that there was gun under the cash register i am scared to pick it up because anything can happen so i don't touch it. My dad runs towards me with a bat and hits one of the gang members on his foot real hard and my dad says "shoot there a**" knowing i won't do it and they all run off. This i really wanted to tell but it actually happened a week before the 14th.

Attitude or Truth

          So I'm trying to find a good post to respond about and i found one that seems to be very exciting and talked about. It was by Rokhsor and it really ticked me off. 


I am shocked. If anything, Alameda is the coolest place to be and just because you do not like it here, does not make it dumb or stupid or anything like that. I am tired of people calling Alameda bad names. If you do not like it, then do not talk about it. It is as simple as that. Just because people live in Oakland and it’s where all the “cool people” live, does not make everywhere else dumb.


           This in any way does not mean that i am mad at Rokhsor but at Aleah. I can't believe that any one would ever say that Alameda is a bad place or "bootsy". The first time that i went into Alameda i was amazed at how clean the people kept it. That kind of made me think how dirty Oakland is and it made me kind of mad to go back to Oakland. It's a shame for Aleah to say that because people haven't heard about it and to say to all the nice people of Alameda how they aren't worth it. I have never been more welcome in my life by such nice people. For others to say that Alameda isn't cool or not heard of, then your going to have to shut your mouth. The people of Oakland are nice but not the majority of them. They always have something bad to say about other people and I would know because thats what i used to be like until going to asti.
        I back up Rokhsor 120%. I'm going to say what she was nice enough not to say. If you don't have anything good to say about Alameda then be quite. I'm going to stop now because i don't want to piss people off the same way they pissed me off. Sorry to the people that were offended but Alameda is a great place 5 stars.

      Access to money and power, those are the reasons that you should go to the best school you get accepted to. The only way that you could accomplish your dreams and what you want to do is to go to school. Some people can't accomplish there dreams because they require to go to a high level school like a UC if they want to be say, a lower , a doctor ,a president and many more. You will be more likely to be chosen for a job if you go to a high expectation school then a person who went to a community college. For example, in order to become gardener you don't even have to go to school but to be a a low class dentist with a degree that says you just barely past the class, thats a community college but if you go to a UC then you are set because you will have more experience and will work in a very good place that charges way to much but people can't say anything because they are in desperate need for your help.
     The main reason that people want power is to do what they please. The way to get power is high expectations. What are high expectations? Going to college should be number one on your list because thats where the beginning and the end to success lies. To make your time at school worth your years of taking tests and waking up early and putting up with the teachers worth it. Go to a good school that provides what you want and if they can help you succeed.
